Howdy all. Pete let me join out of pity I think, cause my current project is not the usual fare. No pics yet, but if you've seen one 87 Volvo wagon torn apart for rocker/floor repair...you've seen them all ;).
I have a hard-on for anything on 4 wheels, but it's gotta be older than 87. If it can be tuned/hacked, and mixes fuel & air...I have to play with it.

He'll be glad to know the Volvo is gone. Too rotten, and not enough motivation to work on it. The 'new' project is even less Pete-friendly, but Quinton probably won't mind ;). I'll be rocking a 1989 Dodge Colt GT Turbo for a year or two, and by the end of it's interest cycle, I should have enough parts to start on the "flathead anything" I want to build. Picked up a whole bunch of parts at Barrie this year, for CHEAP. Even got a nice Mercury aluminum teapot carb manifold for $20...looks like it was never even installed. I'm an engine guy, so I don't really care what's around it, lol. Not to mention I've got a 4-bolt Holley 94 that's ready to go...
I keep seeing the Edsel around, you happen to be associated with the dude in the orange 50's Merc? Saw both of you on the Boundary slowdown...I mean overpass...the other week.
I would, but didn't figure it was LOSER worthy. It's a bit on the modern side. I've got a weak spot for oddball cars, and they only made 1500 of these little things in this 'package', so I couldn't resist it when it came up for sale. It's got some rotten spots, and some 'repairs' that need repairing (thank you, previous owner), so it's off the road until spring. They took an ugly little hatchback, gave it some nice seats, huge brakes, and a 150hp turbo engine. Someone must have lost their job for that decision, lol.
A face only a mother could love, haha.
Hopefully this pic doesn't get me booted...I just dig all cars, and can only have one project at a time :(.

It is for now anyway. I give it a year before I get bored and want to move on to something else. Hopefully by then I'll have a bit more $$ to spend and can pick up something cool :). I spotted a 79 Dodge Magnum on Kijiji the other day, definitely a fan of the unloved, lol.
I grew up in a non-car family, so I had no idea what I was supposed to 'like' when it came to cars. When I started learning about them, I decided that they're ALL cool, and that I have to own/tinker all of them. If my dad had let me buy the first car I ever fell for (1965 Olds F85, damn I loved that car...but the old man wouldn't co-sign), I'm sure things would be different now, lol. If I ever find another one (4dr, preferably), it's getting snapped up.

Yup, that's Bill and you’re associated with him too. He's another LOSER. Cars a 58 Ford Pete posted some pics in another thread. Carlsbad is my town.
Good luck with the Colt man, How about throwin’ some pics up in project section?
Who am I to judge... if you don't see 'em everyday and it's something unique, that counts in my books... oddball rides rule! If that's your project then I say cool
Broke4speed. Sorry you couldn't make the Ottawa club meeting. Hope to meet you the next time I am in the big smoke. I love the low production cars too. I told Gary that I had an 84 svo too but traded it for a chevelle
Thanks dude. Sorry I couldn't make it, I'm pretty much anchored to the house for the moment. The wif is starting to feel a bit better, which means I'll at least get to spend some time in the garage today, lol.
