So, apparently this just happened...

Throttle stuck, then he ran over one of the judging chairmen.  :(

Good looking car but I still hate trailer queens

I couldn't understand why it wasn't pushed around then I read this.

"America’s Most Beautiful Roadster category. They must have never been shown at any show prior to the Grand National Roadster Show. The owner or authorized driver will drive the car a short distance in front of the judges who will observe the roadster in action. Then the driver will stop in front of a viewing screen. The judges will approach the vehicle and circle the roadster from all angles, viewing how well the car and the driver fit."

I guess that means the car was just starting it's pro touring life.

Sucks that somebody got hurt, wonder who's going to be sued? Owner, Driver, GNRS or all of the above

OH SH*T! Hopefully the guy who was hit is ok... its never good when someone gets hurt! I guess its safe to assume there will be no trophies handed out to the owner of this ride...

I bet they make changes to this section of the judging - "The owner or authorized driver will drive the car a short distance in front of the judges who will observe the roadster in action"... how about no test driving high horsepower hot rods in a building full of people!

he must have used Toyota throttle parts. Why not just put it into neutral and shut it off?

I gotta agree, it's not like it says the judges need to see how it handles. Sit somebody in the car and push it around. Start it and let it idle for sound.

This is a local car and has been shown before but apparently as long as it isn't judged its still ok for AMBR.
The car was finished a few hours before the show and the real cause of the accident will probably never be known.
Luckily no-one was seriously hurt.
