Hey Guys

I haven't gotten anything plated in years, I'd like to get a couple small pieces done for the Edsel. I heard Alberta is cheapest due to environmental laws. Any truth to that? Any recommendations on who does decent work that won't break the bank?

Thanks

G

I think that's Zenith or was called Zenith, I believe Gary's Cycle in Ottawa sends there stuff there. I thought I heard someone say once that out west didn't follow the same environmental laws as Ontario so it's cheaper to get it done there.

I want to get the gun sites plated on the Edsel. I've pretty much been told I'm keeping the car forever so I figure I'll get a few pieces done here and there. Starting with the smallest first.

Alberta Plating used to be the best but lately I'm hearing its hit and miss for quality.
I've seen chrome coloured powder coating I think if not what about the spray chrome?

Hey folks,

On another local site and at a few events I've heard that G&G Buffing and Plating on Taschereau Blvd in Longueuil (Montreal south shore) is the place.

Thanks for the suggestions guys, I'll look into both plating shops. Who knows I may just ship them States side to LOSERS member Tinworks while he's sunning in Florida for the winter.

As far as the spray chrome goes the last time I had a piece in my hands it was for a muscle car LOSERS member MR. COB and another friend were building. I liked it but I found it looked a little more like polished aluminum and not chrome. Has anyone here tried spray chrome?
