Barrie Automotive Flea Market...it's changed.

Uh...it's kinda different now.  They seem to be enforcing the 75% rule, because I saw very few booths without car parts.  Only one or two sock vendors, and a LOT more car stuff.

It's also a completely different layout, which makes for a bit of walking, but it seems ok.  The food is all in one place now, but there aren't enough vendors to keep up with demand, IMO.

I ****ed up my back last Monday, so it was an interesting trip for me, lol.

Also, it almost looks like the writing is on the wall for fall Barrie.  A lot of the old-time vendors had signs up that said this would be their last fall barrie, and the current organizer stated in the pamphlet/map that it was a challenge keeping the flea market within the new Burl's Creek 'vision', since the property is under new management.  Not to mention that the Barrie Automotive Flea Market now has their own website, instead of piggybacking on the Burl's Creek one.  http://www.thebafm.com

I'd expect they relocate for 2016, or if it's still at Burl's Creek, it may not last much longer :(.

Nice right up Chad thanks man.

Did ya buy anything? Any deals out there or has eBay pretty much ruined it like it's ruined everything else?

There's still deals to be had, but there are lots of people who still think their junk is worth millions. I bought a few neat things, mostly trinkets and shop consumables though. Prices have definitely gone up though :(.

I have to say that I really liked the new setup at Barrie this year... but Chad is right. There was an feeling of doom in the air. Lots of the vendors seemed disgruntled and said they would'nt come back.

I liked the idea of all the food concessions at the same place, and although they were overwhelmed on the saturday lunch time, they were perfectly ok the rest of the weekend.

Facilities were better equipped, more portable toilets and easier access to everything.

I hope it keeps going, I always look forward to that weekend.

We will see!
