so a few weeks ago, I bought a local unfinished project. Idea was to just finish it off and drive it. Got it to the shop, and........

pulled it apart, decided to go fenderless and channel it!  So here it is as of this morning. Bed has not been dropped yet, but there is a ton of work to do. This was not the plan! What a LOSER!

Thanks, I bought it as a family project. But I don't think it is gonna happen now. So Ai guess it will be down to me! Shame, was looking forward to it. So progress may be a tad slower than I had hoped. Ah well, at least I have it!

I would love to find a p/u like that even a sedan to cut into a p/u . Channeled fender less is the way to go.

Thanks guys. Thought it was going to be a quick finish... But. That is not going to be the case!
I am sure it will turn out well. Trouble with these old trucks is, there is no room inside. When they are channeled, they are even smaller. Getting a person, seat and steering wheel in there is a real challenge!

Some cutting, welding, banging and bending, the seat frame is in. It is a perfect fit. Just a little more welding and it will be ready for the soft stuff.seat frame.jpg

Was quite a few years ago now, but they were good to deal with...

Cool, thanks, it just sent them an email. Just got back from the shop, doing some heavy duty strengthening on the body, and tying it all together.
